10th Malaysia Festival of the Mind

I just attended the 10th Malaysia Festival of the Mind at KTAR Setapak.
I had some great conversations and met some very nice people. 
Yea, it is an interesting and fruitful event.

Quite many exhibitors talk about how our unconscious mind works.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who talk about it:)

摸圆东西可以让人更放松


据美国《女性健康》杂志最新报道,《自主神经科学:基础与临床》刊登美国一项最新研究发现,摸摸圆东西可以让人更放松。
  越来越多的数据显示,社交恐惧症已经成为现代社会的一大心理疾病。有的人一想到社交情景或公开场合,就不由自主地感觉手心出汗,心跳加速,极度紧张。针对这些问题,来自哈佛大学、耶鲁大学和麻省理工学院的学者进行了研究。他们发现,触摸过粗糙物件之后,人们会感觉社交活动更难应对。新研究主要成员之一,麻省理工学院管理学院的乔舒亚·阿克曼博士表示,用大拇指捻摸佛珠、项链等圆圆的东西有助于调节情绪,放松心情,克服焦虑、恐惧。
  最新研究报告还指出,触摸或抚摸具有安慰效应,触摸圆润之物,感觉顺畅,而触摸粗糙之物,则感觉不顺。另外,肌肤接触也具有安抚作用,比如让爱人按摩手脚,有助于平稳心跳,放松紧张情绪。
